The captain of Chennai Super Kings recorded a huge achievement in his name in the 38th match of the IPL 2021.

With these two wickets, Dhoni has become the wicket-keeper with the most wickets in the history of the IPL. Dinesh Karthik used to hold this place before Dhoni usurped it with his marvelous feat. Karthik had 115 wickets in his name and now Dhoni has 116. Isn’t it ironical he completed this tally taking Karthik’s wicket?
Karthik had many chances to equal MS Dhoni’s tally but sadly, couldn’t do it. Kolkata Knight Riders could have won this match against Chennai Super Kings but Ravindra Jadeja became a hindrance in their way towards victory. Jadeja hit 2 sixes and 2 fours in the 19th over which kept CSK in the game.
Dhoni in total has taken 155 wickets in the Indian Premier League. Out of these 155 wickets, the maximum number of stumpings was done by the cricketer at the age of 39. Dhoni is 40 now. On the other hand, Dinesh Karthik has 31 stumpings in his name and 115 catches which makes his total wickets to be 146. Now Dhoni stands first in the list, Karthik second, and Robin Uthappa at number 3 with 90 wickets.
