The two young wicketkeeper captains are face to face and both are in a great personal form which will add to the buildup of this match.

Pant has performed superbly in international cricket in all formats before this IPL and Samson played one of the greatest IPL innings in the last match as they prepare to face the challenge against each other.

Delhi will be without Axar Patel (recovering from covid), Rabada, and Nortje ( in quarantine ). Again they had disturbing news with Nortje getting covid infected. In all probability, they will be playing the same team as in the first game. So Umesh and Ishant will likely warn the benches and Avesh Khan who did very well in 1st match continues as is Chris Woakes. The batting is looking powerful with both openers on the song.

Probable XI

Shaw, Dhawan, Rahane, Pant, Hetmyer, Stoinis, Ashwin, Amit Mishra, Woakes, Tom Curran, Avesh.

Rajasthan totally banked on Samson in their last game chase so they will need their other batters to get bigger scores instead of crisp cameos. Hence Buttler, Parag, and few others need to fire.

Rajasthan’s biggest loss has been Stokes’ broken finger and now the all-rounder is out of IPL 2021. Hence South African David Miller is likely to bat in the middle order and probably Buttler will open with Vohra. Don’t see any change in the bowling lineup.

Probable XI

Manan Vohra, Buttler, Samson, Miller, Parag, Dube, Morris, Shreyas Gopal, Sakariya, Mustafizur

With the match being played at the Wankhede we can expect high scoring by both strong batting lineups and batting second is always advantageous at this stadium with dew sitting in the late evening.
