David Warner hints at leaving SRH. Angry fans react on Warner’s exclusion from XI

David Warner’s exclusion from the XI in Sunrisers latest match against Rajasthan Royals led to massive reactions amongst the fans who have vented their anger on social media. Warne was dropped after indifferent form in the last two games and in this IPL season overall. He admittedly had a poor season, struggling for form and finally losing his captaincy to Kane Williamson. Warner has so far scored only 195 runs at 107 strike rate in 8 matches this season.

However, his overall IPL record as an overseas batsman is sensational and nearly as good as Chris Gayle’s. Warner is the highest run-getter for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he has managed to score over 3000 for the Orange army at an average of 49.55 and strike-rate 142.59 which are sensational figures.

What’s more, he has carried the fortunes of Sunrisers Hydrabad entirely on his shoulders which he considered as his second home.

During his tenure, SRH has won the IPL title in 2016 beating the RCB in a closely fought final in spite being the underdogs.

In a significant tweet on the day of the 2nd game against Rajasthan, Warner in reply to a fan’s query has indicated that he may never return to Sunrisers again. Below is the post
