The inaugural IPL finalists (2008) are up against each other . Both teams are coming off emphatic wins in their last game and look to consolidate their position further in the points table. And once again it’s a battle of two keeper captains

CSK looks to have gone back to their tried and trusted methods against Punjab in last game with their pace off bowling methods but it was the Deepak Chahar brilliant spell of sustained swing bowling which destroyed Punjab . The bowling looks well settled with many options to fall back on . As per coach Fleming’s post match press conference in the last game, CSK will persist with the two identical openers in Gaekwad and Faf rather than getting a left-hander of belligerent ability like Moeen who may bat at three again. Coming off a win, not many changes are expected in the Chennai line up

Probable XI

Gaekwad, Faf Duplessis, Moeen Ali , Suresh Raina , Ambati Rayudu , Ravindra Jadeja , Dhoni , Sam Curran , Dwayne Bravo, Shardul Thakur , Deepak Chahar

Rajasthan Royals had an encouraging victory over Delhi Capitals mainly due to their bowling performances in the last match as well as brilliant knocks by Miller and Morris . David Miller has showed great form and filled up Ben Stokes void superbly. However, Jos Buttler needs to score runs and Samson should show more consistency following his singlehanded masterpiece in the Punjab game. Also, more consistency and outputs required from the Indian group of Vohra, Dube and Parag. With Jaydev Unadkat showing his old form with the ball and good performances from Mustafizur and Sakariya , the Rajasthan bowling seem to replicate the CSK bowling skills in many ways.

Probable XI

Buttler , Vohra , Samson , Miller , Parag , Dube , Tewatia , Gopal , Morris , Mustafizur , Sakariya

Team balance-wise CSK looks to be the favourites for this game. However, with both teams coming off wins this will be an interesting game.
