The Kings will be at war and this should be a thriller. Punjab in recent seasons are providing some blockbuster games in IPLs and in keeping with the trend produced a thriller vs the Rajasthan Royals in the first match.

Punjab has one of the strongest batting lineups in IPL and they should be confident after their batting show in the last match. However, it’s the bowling that needs attention. Both Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith who proved to be very expensive in the Rajasthan game will try to make a big impact. For that, they need to adjust to the pitches quickly. Both Shami and Arshdeep bowled well in the last match and so not much worry about Indian fast bowlers. Punjab should look at playing Ravi Bishnoi as Murugan Ashwin had a disappointing 1st match.

Probable XI

Rahul, Mayank, Gayle, Pooran, Hooda, Shahrukh Khan, Jhye Richardson, Meredith, Shami, Arshdeep, Bishnoi / Ashwin

CSK had a disappointing first game especially from a bowling point of view and does not have to bowling to suit Mumbai conditions. They really needed a quality fast bowler. Deepak Chahar and Shardul in particular has to guard against leaking runs. The spinners need to adjust quickly to the conditions. CSK also need hard hitters in powerplays as they look too conservative at the start. There might be a possibility that Sam Curran might be tried at the top in powerplay overs as he looks in good batting touch.

Probable XI

Gaekwad, Duplessis, Raina, Rayudu, Moeen, Jadeja, Dhoni, Curran, Shardul, Deepak Chahar, Lungi Ngidi

Expected to be a flat batting deck and a high scoring match. Punjab seems to have an edge but they need to hold their nerves against a team like CSK.

Team winning toss , should bowl first with dew factor and smaller ground in mind .
