Cricket seems to offer a world of glamour, fame, and money and these are the reasons that attract many youngsters to get into this sport. But the fans don’t have a true idea of how it is for the players. Well, here we are giving you the exact amount that various cricket teams and their players make around the world. Don’t be shock to see that the richest cricket board in the world, the Board of Control for Cricket in India, is not the one to pay its players the highest amount. Cricket fee structure decoded so, let’s talk numbers, shall we?

Bangladesh

BCB, Bangladesh Cricket Board has been an associate member of the International Cricket Council since 1977 and gained complete membership in June 2000. BCB pays 2.6 lakhs to its players for a Test match and 1.7 for an ODI. The fee declines to 1 lakh for a T20 match. The board has its headquarter at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur, Dhaka.

South Africa

Popularly known as Proteas, the South Africa National team receives 3.3 lakhs for a Test match and 87,0000 for an ODI. Yes, less than what is paid to Bangladeshi players. The fee comes down to 58,000 for a T20 match. Cricket South Africa is the governing body and is a full member of the International Cricket Council.

Pakistan

Cricket is a religion in India and Pakistan. But the same passion for the sport does not mean that the players will get the same monetary allowances. Pakistani cricketers are paid 3.6, 2.2, and 1.6 lakhs per player for Test, ODI, and T20 respectively. Shaheens, Pakistan national cricket team is administer by Pakistan Cricket Board. Pakistan was given Test status in July 1952. This happened based on a recommendation by India.

New Zealand

The Black Caps or the New Zealand national cricket team is paid quite well. Each player is given an amount of 4.5 lakh for a Test match and 2 and 1.3 lakhs for an ODI and T 20 respectively. New Zealand played its first Test match in 1930 against England and became the fifth country to be a part of Test cricket.

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka National Men’s Cricket Team or popularly known as The Lions get quite a decent amount for their hard work in matches. 5.5 lakh is the fee that each player receives for a Test match. This fee is reduced to 4 lakh and 2.5 lakh for ODI and T20 respectively. 

Australia

Australia has been a tough competitor for all the teams in the world and they sure get what they deserve. Each member is paid a handsome amount of 11 lakh for a Test match. A cricket giving his services for ODI is paid with 8.5 lakh which is reduce to 5.6 lakh per player for a T20 which is quite a decent amount for the shortest format of cricket.

India

India has been a part of the world cricket squad since 1932 but the road was quite tough. They had to wait for its first cricket victory and that wasn’t easy. It happen in 1952, almost 20 years later which is shocking because the first Cricket club in India was establish way back in 1792. The board, BCCI which is the governing body of cricket in India pays its cricketers a hefty amount of 15 lakh for a Test cricket match. This fee is lower to 6 lakh for an ODI and 3 lakhs for a T20 match.

England

England is the place where the sport that has won millions of hearts, originated. How could it not be England to pay the highest to its cricketers. It’s only fair! England and Wales Cricket Board pays 18.5 lakh for a Test match and 10 for an ODI. It is 5.1 lakh for a T20.
