Braithwaite & Holder helps West Indies to take 1st innings lead over Pakistan

The 2nd day of the first test between the West Indies and Pakistan was a gripping affair. Both teams had their moments. The West Indies batting was built around Kraigg Braithwaite and Jason Holder with brief efforts from Roston Chase (21) and Blackwood (24).

After Hasan Ali and Shaheen Afridi made crucial inroads to reduce West Indies to 100/5, Kraigg Braithwaite and Jason Holder got together to create a solid partnership of 96 runs. Holder (58) played some glorious shots before his dismissal led Pakistan to get their way back in the game. Braithwaite (97) was, unfortunately, run out with only 3 short of a great 100.
