Best replacements for a doubtful Sam Curran in the CSK lineup
The remaining 31 matches of the IPL will be held in UAE from September to October. However with ECB in no mood to release their players for the remainder of the IPL due to prior tour programmes, Chennai Super Kings could be one team that might suffer as their successful English recruits Moeen Ali and Sam Curran will not be available. Sam has scored 52 runs at a high 170 strike rate and taken 9 wickets in 7 matches this season.
Thus CSK will have to look at Best replacements for a doubtful Sam Curran in the CSK lineup of this season and 3 better options are can be thought of are as under :
Colin DeGrandhome :
DeGrandhome is a capable allrounder having played in IPL earlier. He is a good hitter and a useful 5th bowler having scored 303 runs in 25 matches at 134 strike rate and taken 6 wickets.
Thisara Parera :
Thissara has played 37 IPL games scoring 422 runs at 137 strike rate and got 31 wickets. He can hit long 6s and can upset opposition bowling in slog overs. With enough IPL experience he can be a good option.
James Faulkner :
Faulkner was one of Australia’s best in limited-overs formats. Recently he has done well at PSL. Has been successful in IPL with 522 runs at 137 strike rate and 59 wickets in 60 games. He is a much better bowler than both DeGrandhome and Parera and probably will be the best replacement for Sam Curran .
