BCCI announces cash reward for Tokyo 2020 Olympic medalists

India has won their highest number of medals ever at an Olympics event in Tokyo 2020. The contingent has won  1 Gold, 2 Silvers and 4 bronzes which totals 7 medals.

It could have easily been double the tally had India not missed out on multiple bronze possibilities or even gold or silver by falling at the last hurdle.  The women’s Hockey team, Aditi Ashoke in Golf, Mary Kom in boxing. And few wrestlers as well as the shooting and archery teams reached within a whisker or striking distance of getting a medal.
There were even a lot of semi-final losses too like both the men & women’s hockey team. PV Sindhu, Lovelina and few wrestlers, otherwise many bronze could have easily turned into silver or gold. BCCI announces cash reward for Tokyo 2020 Olympic medalists  .
