BCCI has encouraged all the test cricketers who are playing in the IPL to practice also for the World test Championships final to be played between India and New Zealand in Southampton England in June.
From BCCI sources it is learnt that the board will provide the cricketers all support and facilities including red dukes ball in order to practice during the days on which there are no team trainings and nets for IPL practice .
The concerned players can also talk to the Indian coaching team also during their WTC training process while still being in IPL.
This plan has been mulled by BCCI as due to quarantine protocols there will be just a 2 week window to practice before the WTC final .
It now remains to be seen whether players like Kohli , Rohit , Rahane etc will be interested to use this option as IPL is a fast paced energy sapping event and players do need rest to recuperate during non training days .
