BCCI has suggested a domestic schedule for season 2021-22

The BCCI in their latest meeting has drawn up the domestic calendar for 2021-22 awaiting confirmation. The Syed Musthaq Ali T20 domestic event will open the season. It will be held between mid September to October 2021 which will be followed by the Vijay Hazare ODI event during November 2021 and the Ranji Trophy first class event between the states from December 2021 to Match 2022.

Incidentally the Ranji Trophy was not held in 2020-21 season due to covid pandemic which is the first time in 87 years. BCCI has suggested a domestic schedule for season 2021-22.

BCCI has also not entirely given up hopes of hosting the World T20 in October in India after the recent sharp fall in cases of covid pandemic in India . ICC has given BCCI time till 28 June to decide on hosting the T20I World cup .

Also in 2022 the next IPL mega auction is a scheduled.
