Australian government starts ban of flights from India as covid crisis deepens. The withdrawals of Andrew Tye, Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson is likely to spark an exodus of the Australian players currently playing IPL in covid ravaged India.

Reports are filtering in that the Australian government will start a ban of all flights coming from India , even the indirect ones coming from the middle east. All flights will be banned till 15th May to start with .

As of now, there are 14 Australians involved with IPL along with 3 in the official broadcasting team ( Mathew Hayden , Michael Slater & Brett Lee ). Players like Warner , Smith , Stoinis, Maxwell and Cummins hold major key spots in their respective teams while Ricky Ponting , Mike Hussey, Simon Katich, Tom Moody etc are parts of think tank of their respective teams.

Situation is very grim in India with lack of hospital bed and oxygen supplies . Australia Goverment also likely to send Oxygen supplies to support India in this crisis. As of now everything relating to the future of IPL 2021 looks uncertain. The BCCI and their counterparts in Australia and other nations are monitoring the situation closely.
