Young fast bowler Arshdeep Singh said, Umran Malik’s high speed gives him an advantage. Umran Malik of Jammu and Kashmir bowls at a speed of around 150 kmph like Anrich Nortje of South Africa and Mark Wood of England.
At the same time, Arshdeep Singh bowls at a speed of about 130-135 kilometers per hour. Arshdeep and Umran, who performed brilliantly in the IPL, made their ODI debut against New Zealand on 25 November.
Before the third ODI, Arshdeep said – It feels good to bowl with Umran. There is a pleasant atmosphere in the dressing room because of him. He said, I am aggressive in the initial overs of T20 and defensive in the end overs. I adopt the same attitude in ODIs as well.
“As far as bowling is concerned, I get a lot of benefit from Umran’s bowling as batters need to adjust heavily from 155 kmph to 135 kmph. And they get deceived by pace and we enjoy bowling with each other. I expect we are able to continue this partnership for longest time,” Arshdeep said.
Arshdeep’s international career is still short. In the Asia Cup, Arshdeep was trolled on social media after the Pakistani player dropped the catch and the Indian team lost. A fan even abused him in the bus. The 23-year-old bowler replied with maturity saying, “Have learned to deal with everything.”
He said- If you do well, you get praised. The fans have the right to criticize us for poor performance. He said, recently there was a lot of support in Australia. Many fans wore T-shirts with my photo on them. On the match being affected by rain, he said, some things are not in anyone’s control.
