Ambrose surprised that India repeatedly failing in semis and finals of ICC events
Curtley Ambrose, the legendary West Indian fast bowling great with 400 plus test wickets, has expressed his anguish at India not been able to win big matches in ICC events since the Champions trophy in 2013.
Speaking on a YouTube channel Ambrose felt that the Indian team is possibly trying to change their plans for the semis or finals instead of backing the strengths and plans through which they have won the earlier games. Ambrose surprised that India repeatedly failing in semis and finals of ICC events.
Ambrose advised India to just follow the plans which helped them to reach the semifinals or final stage of the event. Instead of making too many plan changes for the big games. As he thinks that India with their quality at their disposal should be able to win big events. Instead of falling repeatedly at the final hurdles.
“Is it a situation where they change their game plan or they put themselves under pressure because of the occasion? If that is the case, then it is wrong. As a former cricketer (I can say), the things that you do to make you successful. To get you to where you are, you continue to do them and try to improve.” Ambrose said.
Ambrose however was extremely impressed which the quality of the New Zealand pace attack comprising of Boult, Southee, Wagner and the tall Jamieson saying that when they get conditions that suit them they are an extremely dangerous bowling unit.
Ambrose also heaped a lot of praise for New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson saying that he is a wonderful captain and leading the team for many years now .
