Afghanistan v Pakistan ODI series has been postponed 

After much deliberations, the much-awaited ODI series between Afghanistan v Pakistan ODI series has been postponed  according to the ACB CEO Hamid Shinwari.

Due to the current volatile political scenario in Afghanistan stemming from the Taliban taking over the country. No flights are available from Kabul to Sri Lanka where the series was supposed to be played.

The CEO further added that due to the political unrest in the country. The ACB also wanted to be sympathetic and therefore decided to safeguard the mental health of the players.

These ODI series was a part of the qualification process before the 2023 ODI World cup.

ACB will be looking at a possible window to hold the series before the 2023 World cup.

Afghanistan is also planning a 3 team T20I event with Australia and West Indies before the T20I World cup. However, with the prevalent volatile political situation, the ACB is keeping their fingers crossed on that event.
