Cricket has seen many instances of 6 sixes hit in an over. The legendary Gary Sobers achieved it in 1960s in county cricket, followed by Ravi Shastri in the Ranji trophy. Current generations have seen Yuvraj Singh doing it in the T20I World cup and Herschelle Gibbs achieving the same in 50 over World cup. However, no one has seen 6 sixes being hit in the final over in a chase to win a match.

Exactly this happened in a local T20 event final in Ireland when a player named John Glass
hammered 6 sixes in the final over to win a T20 game in a sensational fashion with 35 needed to win in the last over.

The match looked over but John Glass took centre stage and smashed six sixes to snatch victory from the jaws of a certain defeat.

Cregagh, who was playing at its home ground. Put up a competitive total of 147 before their bowlers reduced Ballymena to 113-7.

However, stand-in skipper Glass, who was on 51, launched the ball over the ropes off every delivery to finish unbeaten on 87. To send everyone gasping in disbelief.

He also walked away with the Man of the Match trophy. While there was more cause for celebration in the Glass household after his older brother Sam had completed a hat-trick in the first innings to finish with three wickets for five runs.
