5th T20I preview : A nail biting finish on the cards

It boils down to the final game after Indian bowlers performed brilliantly in the 4th T20I against all odds. Inspite of  heavy dew   the Indian bowlers challenged themselves to put up a great show inspite of the Ben Stokes onslaught which nearly took the game away . Slower deliveries and cutters did the trick as England lost wickets in an effort to chase down a big score .

For the 5th game , it is expected that for India ,  Ishan Kishan , if he gets over his niggle , will replace out of form KL Rahul at the top . Otherwise no changes are expected with the series on the line . Virat Kohli did have a niggle towards end of last match but should be ok now with one days rest .

The bowling has done reasonably well in last match . However Shardul Thakur needs to guard against leaking runs .  Hardik Pandya though has been quiet with the bat ,  has been a revelation as a bowler in this series and has bowled excellently in the last match giving away only 16 runs in 4 overs and bowled at reasonable speeds . Rahul Chahar replacing Yazuvendra Chahal  had a decent game getting 2 wickets but may have to work on his economy going forward .

Also Kohli at 4 will work well for India as if he is around during slog overs, he can be deadly by even playing normal cricket shots as we saw in 3rd game .

India’s probable XI : Rohit , Ishan , Surya , Virat , Iyer, Pant , Hardik, Shardul, Sundar , Bhuvneshwar , Rahul Chahar .

England need to look at their number 3 . Dawid Malan has struggled in this series scoring at a run a ball and did not get any big scores .  Getting Sam Billings in wont be a bad idea as Billings is a good player of spin and that will also break the monotony of  lefthander’s in the England lineup.

Jos Buttler , Roy , Stokes , Bairstow , Morgan are crucial players in England lineup . All are match winners

The England  bowling looks settled and no changes are expected  .

Probable XI :  Roy , Buttler , Malan / Billings , Bairstow , Stokes , Morgan , Sam Curran , Adil Rashid , Jordan , Archer , Wood

The pitch should be a typical T20 one with lots of runs and good for strokeplay.

Though toss winning captain has been chasing , this game being the decider can give an advantage to the team batting first and putting up a good score on the board.  In decider, runs on the board is always very handy.

Waiting for an absolute cracking game!!
