The bowling of Rajasthan is on the weaker side with only Chris Morris as their lone quality international bowler. Now with Archer’s injury, it will be a tough ask for the franchise to get a proper like to like replacement for him. 5 players Rajasthan Royals can look as replacements for Jofra Archer in IPL 2021.

Fidel Edwards ( West Indies)
The West Indies quick, who was a tearaway in his earlier days with a Malinga like action has recently made a good comeback in T20Is this year and played 6 matches against Srilanka, South Africa and Australia taking 4 wickets at 8 economy. He has looked good and can be counted upon to produce the goods. Now 39, he has 109 wickets in 115 T20s with all his variations which is a pretty good record. He can be the closest like for like replacement for Archer. Edwards already has an IPL title with Deccan Chargers way back in 2009
Mitchel McClenaghan ( New Zealand)
The New Zealand fast bowler has a very good IPL record of 71 wickets in 56 games and was a big part of Mumbai Indians set up for several years winning a few IPL titles. However more recently Mumbai did not show much interest in the lively left armer. With huge IPL experience, he can definitely add value to the Rajasthan bowling attack with his wicket-taking abilities.
Nathan Ellis ( Australia)
Nathan Ellis is a new addition to the Australian T20I squad. The 26-year-old nippy fast bowler has had a sensational T20I debut for Australia taking a hattrick vs Bangladesh in the ongoing T20 series. He plays for Hobart Hurricanes and has taken 36 wickets in 32 games at an 8 economy rate. He also has a promising start to his first-class career. Hence he can be an exciting addition to the Royals bowling attack and an unknown quantity to the other teams.
Carlos Braithwaite ( West Indies )
It is very surprising that Braithwaite is yet to make his mark in IPL and has been inconsistent in this event. No one can forget his 4 6s against Ben Stokes in the 2016 World T20I final at Eden Gardens. Braithwaite has scored 1,923 runs at a strike rate of 136 and scalped 195 wickets at an economy rate of 8 in 210 T20 matches. He can be a good option for Royals in both lower-order batting and bowling.
Dasun Shanaka (Sri Lanka)
Like Braithwaite, the Srilankan T20I captain can be a good all-round option for the Royals. He performed well in the recent India series. Shanaka has played 108 T20 matches scoring 2,208 runs at a strike rate of 143. His best score in the shortest format of the game is 131notout which is a big 100 for T20 standards. In bowling has picked up 30 wickets at an economy rate of 8.71. Since he is an international captain, he can add value to team strategies as well.
