New Delhi: The 31st All India Om Nath Sood Memorial Cricket Tournament will start from April 1 at the Rashtriya Swabhimaan Khel Parisar Ground, Pitam Pura. The tournament’s organizing secretary Pramod Sood told 22 teams will participate in Om Nath Sood Memorial Cricket to play this time.
The teams participating in the tournament are as follows: Past winners Haryana Cricket Academy (Jhajjar, Haryana), runners-up Lal Bahadur Shastri Cricket Club, Sonnet Cricket Club, Rohtak Road Gymkhana, Swami Shraddhanand College, Bal Bhavan International School, Ran Star Cricket Club, SS Sports, Collage Sports Club, Sehgal Cricket Club, Indian Navy (Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh), Ravi Brothers, Delhi Colts, Wonders Club (Noida), Sanskar Cricket Academy, Sports Cube Academy (Gurugram), T Aroha Tigers , Delhi Challengers Cricket Academy, Sethi Sports, Emil, Young Cricketers and West Delhi Cricket Academy.
Pramod Sood said that the inaugural match will be played between Sports Cube Cricket Academy and Sethi Sports. In addition to the individual awards, a cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakh will be given to the champion team and in addition to the individual prizes to the runner-up team, a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh will also be given. The tournament will be inaugurated by former BCCI president CK Khanna. As you know, this tournament first started in 1988 on the railway grounds of Rani Bagh.
